In the sporting arena we contest for the Southgate trophy with Salmond and Studholme Colleges. This trophy gets each college to compete in a number of sporting challenges including Ripper Rugby, Pool, Hockey, Badminton, Volleyball, Netball, Baldwin Street Relay, Tug-o-War and others.
At the start of the year, St. Margaret’s gets involved with the Inter-College sports day run by the University.
Often members of the College will organise social sports teams, and of course you can get involved with university and community club sports.
The College provides a Tennis Court for Members’ use, which also doubles as a soccer field, basketball court or backyard cricket ground.
Each year, thanks to Robert Wilson (a Life Member of the College) a tournament is held to find the squash champion.
As the College is right on campus, it is only 5 minutes from UniPol, the University's well-eqiped gym, which is free to use for all University students.
